Ewan - Love From Ireland

Ewan <3<3<3 Vaughn's identcal twin brother. Betcha never knew he had one. I've been toying around forever with his concept and I think I like it now XD Let's just say he's the bad seed that the family keeps under wraps, but since he's out of jail now so I figured I'd get you guys acquainted in case he comes up later. XD

Vaughn and Ewan are identical twins, though Vaughn was born a minute and a half after Ewan.

They were close growing up and often took comfort in one another because of the teasing they endured together at school, Vaughn especially because he had his growth spurt a year before Ewan did. While Vaughn is laid back and quite mellow unless provoked, Ewan is loud and mouthy and as drunkenly Irish as a person can get.

When they were both 17, their mother was car jacked and assaulted, leading the O'Shey brothers to hunt down the man who did it. In the end, the man was killed and his house was burned to ground. Both plead guilty to manslaughter, though it was Vaughn who struck the final blow to the mans head. It was also Vaughn that doused the mans home in gasoline and set it ablaze, but Ewan stepped up and took the blame solely for that act despite Vaughn's pleas for him not to. Subsequently, they were both convicted and sent to two different prisons in Northern Ireland.

Vaughn was given six years for his part in the act, and Ewan was given 14 years for manslaughter and arson. Prison did nothing to help Ewan with his outright scary fits of rage. If anything it was fuel to the fire and he was notorious for being sent to solitary.

He's very self conscious about his two eye colors. He loves the green because it reminds him of Vaughn and his mother. He hates the blue because their worthless father had blue eyes. Ewan sometimes holds their mother to blame for his eyes. He's one of those guys that will catch you staring because he's different, and then he'll break your nose whether you were looking at his eyes or not. He punches first then wonders what you did later, not that he gives two shits anyways.

Ewan kept in touch with Vaughn once a month or so, through pictures and letters. He never for a second regretted taking the fall for his brother. He rather sees it as a badge of honor and he wears it proudly that he could so something like that for his other half.

Its the pictures of Vaughn with his friends and lovers that made him wish for his freedom. He's had pointless fucks in jail over the years and its enough to sate him. Still, inwardly he longs for something else, though he'll never admit that for a moment. He's way too tough for kissing and cuddling and all that girly shit.

Upon his release, Ewan moved back in with their mother and he and Vaughn's younger brother Dillon, to care for them. He's tried to find work but he ends up getting fired for his mouth relatively soon after he's hired. He sings in a small local Irish rock band in their town Maddoxtown, right outside of Kilkenny Ireland, and while he hardly gets paid at all, he drinks for free at all of the local bars because for some reason that he can't understand, people like him. He never realizes that he has a lot more of Vaughn in his persona than he cares to admit to and people seem to be captivated by him. Ewan is annoyed by this.

Ewan is the poster child for the stereotypical drunk Irishman. When he's not drunk he wishes he was and when he's drunk he's looking forward to the next time that he can get drunk again. His poison is Jameson, and by the barrel full. His mother always says that Ewan's liver must of crawled out of him along time ago because it couldn't survive in his body. It shows too, because he's not nearly as stocky as Vaughn and his skin isn't as vibrant as his brothers.

Another fast way to start a fight with Ewan is to ask him about the two thick scars that run across his face. He received them the first month he was in prison by four inmates who held him down and raped him while they marked him for life. As he got stronger and larger in the prison, he sought out the men that violated him and made them pay ten fold. It got him another 2 years on his sentence but to Ewan it was worth another 20 and to Vaughn it was something he would go back to jail for in a heartbeat to avenge.

Ewan was built like a tank when he was released, but because of his drinking and overall lazy behavior, he's lost some of his bulk, though he's a wall of something you don't want to mess with unless you like being toothless or want a fast castration. Vaughn tries to talk to Ewan about stopping his drinking but Ewan tells him to feck off. Vaughn hates that his brothers prison stay and subsequent rape caused him to topple inwards on himself emotionally, but Ewan refuses to talk about it as if it never happened.

Ewan has never been to the US where his brother lives. He tends to just wander around south east Ireland with his band, the Shamrock Brigade. Onstage, he's well known for stomping around shirtless, in nothing but a kilt and combat boots. He's always drunk when he sings but it seems to work for him, and he never goes home or to a hostel alone. Ewan isn't picky between men and women when he's plowed, as long as he gets what he needs, though in moments of sobriety he finds that, just like his brother, he prefers the company of men.

Ewan chain smokes like a fire pit and between the drinking and cigarettes, his voice is much different than his brothers. While Vaughn's is quite light and soothing, Ewan's is deep and scratchy at times. His accent becomes so thick after ten shots that even though he's still speaking English, he's almost impossible to understand unless your Irish or your his close friend. Even then its still hard.

He has a trip planned to the US now because Vaughn has been bothering him about it for a good year or so. God knows what will happen when he meets Liam and the rest of Vaughn's friends. Look out USA. XD
